The SahisarkariJobs.in Analyst's Take – Is This Apprenticeship for You?

This is a 12-month on-the-job training engagement under the Apprentices Act, 1961, not a regular bank job. With 1500 seats spread across 30 States/UTs, the largest pools are in Uttar Pradesh (285), Tamil Nadu (270) and West Bengal (145). The online test is 100 marks in 60 minutes with no sectional cut-offs printed; merit is purely on aggregate, and a 5% relaxation applies for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD. A candidate who already has one year of job experience after graduation or has done an apprenticeship earlier is barred, so this is aimed strictly at fresh graduates.

Best fit: Fresh graduates (result declared on or before 1 November 2026) who want structured bank-branch exposure and can complete NATS registration quickly.

Skip this if you already have post-graduation job experience of one year or more, or if you need a permanent post with career progression right after training.

Practical tip: Complete the NATS 2.0 profile to 100% and note your Enrolment ID before 5 November 2026, because the Bank form will not accept incomplete profiles.

What makes this recruitment different: the dual-component stipend (Bank + Government share) and the explicit statement that the apprentice has no right to claim employment and the Bank has no obligation to offer regular or contractual employment after training.
