What Is the Age Limit?
Age is reckoned as on 01 June 2026. A candidate must have attained 18 years and must not have attained 27 years. The advertisement prints the birth window: not earlier than 02 June 1999 and not later than 01 June 2008. The date of birth is taken only from the Matriculation or equivalent certificate.
| Category | Relaxation printed | Upper age as on 01 June 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| UR / EWS | None | 27 years |
| OBC (Delhi) | 3 years | 30 years |
| SC / ST | 5 years | 32 years |
| PwBD + UR / EWS | 10 years | 37 years |

| Government employees with 3 years’ service | No relaxation | 27 years, same as UR |

Examples:
✅ A 26-year-old UR candidate born on 02 June 2000 is eligible (within the 27-year limit as on 01 June 2026).
❌ A 28-year-old UR candidate born on 01 June 1998 is not eligible (exceeds the maximum age by 1 year).

What Is the Salary? – DSSSB Court Posts 2026
The advertisement prints a Pay Level and the pre-revised band with grade pay. It does not print DA, HRA, a gross figure or an in-hand amount. The appointment order fixes actual pay.
| Post | Group (as printed) | Pre-revised scale | Pay Level | Pay-matrix start for that Level |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Senior Personal Assistant | Group-B (Non-Gazetted) | ₹9,300–34,800 + Grade Pay ₹4,800 | Level-8 | ₹47,600 |
| Personal Assistant | Group-B (Non-Gazetted) | ₹9,300–34,800 + Grade Pay ₹4,600 | Level-7 | ₹44,900 |
| Junior Judicial Assistant | Group-C | ₹5,200–20,200 + Grade Pay ₹2,800 | Level-5 | ₹29,200 |
| Process Server | Group-C | ₹5,200–20,200 + Grade Pay ₹2,400 | Level-4 | ₹25,500 |
| Peon/Orderly/Dak Peon | Group-C | ₹5,200–20,200 + Grade Pay ₹2,000 | Level-3 | ₹21,700 |
The pay matrix start is the 7th CPC matrix figure that matches the Level printed in the vacancy table. It is not a take-home salary. No in-hand estimate is given here because this is a Delhi District Courts recruitment, and the advertisement does not print central DA or HRA.
Pension, NPS, probation length and allowances are not specified in this advertisement.
What Is the Application Fee?
| Category | Fee |
|---|---|
| UR, OBC, EWS (male) | ₹100 |
| Women (all categories) | Exempt |
| SC, ST, PwBD | Exempt |
| Ex-Servicemen | Exempt, with the exception below |
Payment is only through SBI e-pay. Any other mode is not accepted, and a payment made that way stands forfeited. The fee, once paid, is not refunded under any circumstances.
Ex-servicemen already in a regular civil post under the Central Government, GNCT of Delhi, or its autonomous or local bodies, after using ESM reservation for that re-employment, are not eligible for the fee concession.
How to Apply?
- Register once on the DSSSB online portal if you do not already have a user ID. Registration instructions are in Annexure-I of the advertisement. The same ID is used for later DSSSB exams.
- From 06 October 2026, 12:00 noon, log in and apply for Advertisement No. 04/2026. The link closes on 04 November 2026 at 11:00 PM.
- Keep a photo identity proof ready. The annexure says the scanned identity image should be at least 15 KB and not more than 60 KB, and should not be blurred.
- Upload a recent colour photograph: plain white or off-white background, full face, front view, eyes open. A blurred photo or signature leads to rejection. Use our Photo & Signature Resizer before upload.
- Pay ₹100 through SBI e-pay if you are not exempt. Save the application printout. Supporting documents are called later through the e-dossier, not with the form.
Only online applications are accepted. Post, by hand and email are not considered. One registration and one application only. Post and department preference is taken by Delhi District Courts at the interview, not on the form date. If you do not give a preference, allotment is at the courts’ discretion among posts you are eligible for. A preference once exercised is final.
Separate examinations are held for each post code. Senior Personal Assistant and Personal Assistant share Post Code 805/26, so they share the Tier-I shortlist, then sit separate skill tests.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Submitting a second application. The advertisement says all such applications will be rejected, not that the latest one survives.
- Claiming OBC with a certificate from outside Delhi, or with an NCL issued before 01 April 2026.
- Waiting until 11:00 PM on 04 November 2026. The Board says it will not be responsible for a failed login on the closing days, and no correction is allowed after submission.
- Treating Process Server as a 10th-pass post only. An LMV licence and 2 years of unblemished driving experience are essential. Use our Experience Calculator to check the two years against 04 November 2026.
- Assuming a serving government employee gets the usual 3-year or 5-year age concession. This advertisement states that there is no such provision.

How Are Candidates Selected?
DSSSB conducts the objective test, the descriptive test and the shorthand or typing test. Delhi District Courts conduct the driving test and the interview, and prepare the final merit list at Tis Hazari. There is no re-evaluation. Marks in the computer-based test may be normalised using the formula in DSSSB Notice No. 10(271)/Sec.Cell/DSSSB/18/989 dated 11 July 2018.
Negative marking is 0.25 for each wrong MCQ. Minimum qualifying marks for Tier-I (MCQ) and Tier-II (descriptive) are 50% for UR/EWS and 45% for OBC (Delhi), SC, ST, PwBD and ESM. The interview has no minimum qualifying marks. If marks are equal, the older candidate is placed higher. If the date of birth is also the same, the first name that comes first in English alphabetical order is placed higher.

| Stage | What it tests | Marks | Role |

The SahisarkariJobs.in Analyst’s Take
This is a Delhi District Courts drive run by DSSSB, not a general clerical advertisement. Senior Personal Assistant and Personal Assistant share one post code and one Tier-I paper, then split on shorthand speed. A candidate who can hold 100 wpm but not 110 wpm is in the PA pool, not the SPA pool. Junior Judicial Assistant is the graduate route without shorthand. Process Server is the only post that asks for a licence and a clean driving record.
Best fit: a graduate who already dictates at the printed speed and can write an English essay under a time limit. For 10th-pass candidates, Peon is the open route. Process Server fits only if the LMV licence and two unblemished years are already in hand by 04 November 2026.
Skip this one if you need a Hindi-medium paper for the graduate posts, or you are counting on a government-service age concession. SPA, PA and JJA Tier-I papers are English only. Serving employees get no extra years on the wording of this advertisement.

Practical tip: Do not file a second form to “add” a post code. The advertisement allows one application, and a second one puts every application at risk. Read the post-code options on the portal on 06 October 2026, and keep the shorthand or typing proof ready for the skill test, because that test is qualifying.

What Documents Are Required?
Copies are not uploaded with the form. They are sought when the e-dossier is called. Missing that window ends the candidature, with no second chance.
- Matriculation certificate for date of birth
- Graduate marksheet and degree for SPA, PA and JJA
- Matriculation or equivalent certificate for Process Server and Peon
- LMV driving licence and proof of 2 years’ unblemished driving experience for Process Server
- Caste certificate for SC/ST. OBC (Delhi) certificate issued on or before 04 November 2026, plus OBC (NCL) issued on or after 01 April 2026 and not later than 04 November 2026
- EWS certificate issued on or before 04 November 2026
- PwBD certificate, and ESM discharge documents where claimed
- The same photograph later, if the Board asks for a print
- Application printout for your own record
A false claim found at scrutiny leads to cancellation without notice. The user department checks eligibility against the Recruitment Rules.
What Happens After Selection?
- DSSSB runs the written and skill stages and forwards the shortlist. The driving test and interview are with Delhi District Courts.
- The interview is at Delhi District Courts, Tis Hazari. Post and department preference is taken there and is final.
- The courts prepare the merit list from the stages named in the scheme. For SPA, PA and JJA, it is descriptive marks plus interview, after a qualifying skill test. For Process Server and Peon, it is the objective marks plus interview, after a qualifying driving test where applicable.
- Nomination is provisional. The user department calls the e-dossier and checks the Recruitment Rules. A candidate found ineligible for the opted post or department is rejected for that post code, and no other allotment is offered.
- Selection confers no right to appointment until the appointing authority is satisfied, after any enquiry it considers necessary, that the candidate is suitable.
Probation length, posting within Delhi, and pension rules are not specified in this advertisement. They will be in the appointment order and the applicable court rules.

FAQs – DSSSB District Courts 2026
What is the last date to apply for DSSSB District Courts 2026?
04 November 2026, 11:00 PM. Forms open on 06 October 2026 at 12:00 noon on dsssbonline.nic.in. No extension has been announced as of 01 October 2026. The link is disabled after the closing time.
What is the age limit for DSSSB Senior Personal Assistant and other posts?
18 to 27 years as of 01 June 2026 for every post. SC/ST get 5 years, OBC (Delhi) 3 years, and PwBD 10, 13 or 15 years as printed. Ex-servicemen get military service plus 3 years, up to age 55. Government employees get no age relaxation in this advertisement.
Is there an exam for these Delhi court posts, or is it interview-based?
Yes, there is an exam and an interview. SPA, PA and JJA have an English MCQ, an English descriptive paper, a qualifying skill test, and then an interview. Process Server has a bilingual MCQ, a qualifying driving test and an interview. Peon has a bilingual MCQ and an interview. Wrong answers cut 0.25 marks.
What is the salary of DSSSB Personal Assistant and Junior Judicial Assistant?
Personal Assistant is Level-7 (pre-revised ₹9,300–34,800 + Grade Pay ₹4,600). Junior Judicial Assistant is Level-5 (₹5,200–20,200 + Grade Pay ₹2,800). Senior Personal Assistant is Level-8. The advertisement does not print an in-hand figure.
Can final-year students apply for DSSSB Combined Examination 2026?
The essential qualification must be held by 04 November 2026. The advertisement says candidates who do not have the essential qualification on that cut-off date need not apply. A final-year student should not assume eligibility unless the degree is complete by that date.
Is DSSSB District Courts recruitment a permanent government job?
These are advertised as regular Group-B (Non-Gazetted) or Group-C posts in the Delhi District Courts, as printed post-wise. Regular appointments are confirmed under the applicable service rules. The notice itself does not use the phrase “permanent government job”, and it does not print probation or pension terms.
Can candidates from other states apply for DSSSB recruitment?
Yes. The advertisement invites Indian citizens. It does not print a Delhi domicile bar for applying. OBC reservation and OBC age relaxation are only for OBC (Delhi). OBC (Outside) candidates must apply as UR.
Where will I be posted if I get selected?
In the Delhi District & Sessions Courts or Family Courts, according to the preference you give at the interview and your merit. If you give no preference, the courts allot a post you are eligible for. Transfer rules inside Delhi are not printed in this advertisement.
Is there negative marking in the DSSSB court exam?
Yes. Each MCQ carries 1 mark, and each wrong answer cuts 0.25. UR/EWS need 50%, and OBC (Delhi), SC, ST, PwBD and ESM need 45% in the MCQ and, where held, the descriptive paper. The interview has no minimum qualifying marks.
What should I know before applying?
The honest downside is the skill gate and the one-form rule. SPA and PA shorthand tests are qualifying, in English, with a 4% mistake cap. A second application can get every form rejected. The fee is not refunded. Government employees get no age concession on this notice.
Before You Apply: Quick Self-Check
- You meet the age rule as on 01 June 2026, and the qualification as on 04 November 2026.
- You are applying for a regular District Courts post, with the skill or driving condition that the post advertises.

- You are ready for the hardest stage: shorthand for SPA/PA, typing for JJA, or the real-traffic driving test for Process Server.
