[Official] CCEA Raises Rabi MSP for 2027-28 Marketing Season
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved higher Minimum Support Prices for all six mandated rabi crops for the marketing season 2027-28. The government put the estimated MSP payout at ₹90,962 crore. Safflower received the largest absolute hike of ₹675 a quintal, to ₹7,215; wheat MSP was raised by ₹25 to ₹2,610 a quintal.

The CCEA approved an Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) for Delhi, to be implemented by Delhi Police, at ₹1,789.52 crore inclusive of taxes. The project will cover 42 corridors in three phases over 24 months, plus five years of operation and maintenance. It includes 1,092 Adaptive Traffic Control System points, 1,029 enforcement locations, AI-enabled adaptive signals and ambulance-priority movement.

[Official] Small Savings Rates Unchanged for Q3 FY 2026-27
The Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, notified that interest rates on small savings schemes for 1 October–31 December 2026 will stay the same as in Q2. PPF remains 7.1%, Sukanya Samriddhi and SCSS 8.2%, NSC 7.7%, KVP 7.5% (115-month maturity), and the post office savings account 4%. Rates have now been held unchanged for the tenth consecutive quarter since the December 2024 review.
