Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), a listed Mini Ratna Schedule ‘A’ PSU under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India, is taking 9 ITI trade apprentices at CSL AN Ship Repair Unit (CANSRU), Sri Vijaya Puram. This cycle is not a Kochi yard drive. Training is only at the Andaman ship-repair unit. Five of the nine seats are in Stenography & Secretarial Assistant. What Is the Stipend for ITI Trade Apprentices in Andaman?

Selected apprentices receive a fixed stipend of ₹11,000 per month during the one-year training, as printed in the official trade table.

This is a training stipend under the Apprentices Act, 1961, not 7th CPC pay. Stipend is payable subject to attendance, applicable rules and successful continuation of training.

Given the monthly amount, many apprentices may stay below usual income-tax slab thresholds. Actual tax depends on your total income from all sources. Do not treat ₹11,000 as guaranteed in-hand if attendance or contract conditions are not met.

Island living costs in Sri Vijaya Puram are higher than many mainland ITI towns. Plan rent and food yourself. CSL will not house you.
