The recruitment is entirely local, targets Odisha residents, and uses a simple Google Form application with no fee. Most posts are reserved for female candidates. Selection will be based on career marking rather than any written exam.

About Utkal Balashram Nabarangpur & Why This Role Matters
Utkal Balashram Nabarangpur – Overview
Utkal Balashram is a government-run children’s home (observation home/children’s home) located at Majhiguda in Nabarangpur district, Odisha. It functions under the Women & Child Development Department, Government of Odisha, and provides residential care, education and rehabilitation support to children in need of care and protection.
Why Candidates Search for Utkal Balashram Nabarangpur Jobs
Candidates from Nabarangpur and nearby districts look for these posts because they offer government-linked work close to home without tough competitive exams. The application process is simple (Google Form) and completely free. However, the pay is modest, consolidated amounts with no DA, HRA, PF or pension benefits. The work involves direct care of children, which can be emotionally demanding and requires genuine commitment. There is also no clear path to regularisation mentioned in the notification.
Why this recruitment is attractive:
- Work in your home district with children who need support.
- Simple online application with no fee and no written exam.
- Career marking gives weightage to experience and child rights training.
- Panel remains valid for one year from finalisation.
The SahisarkariJobs.in Analyst’s Take – Is This Recruitment for You?
This is a small, district-level contractual recruitment suitable mainly for local women who want to work in child welfare without leaving Nabarangpur. With only 8 posts and a simple Google Form process, competition will be low compared to state-level recruitments through OSSSC or OPSC.
It suits candidates who already have relevant qualifications and some experience in teaching, childcare or accounts, and who are comfortable with consolidated pay in the ₹5,000–₹18,500 range. The career marking system rewards higher education and child-rights training, so candidates with those credentials have a clear edge.
If you are looking for a permanent government job with a pension and higher pay scales, skip this one. The notification clearly states these are contractual posts with no mention of regularisation. Also, avoid if you are not a permanent resident of Odisha or cannot work in a residential children’s home environment.
Practical tip: In the Google Form, clearly mention any experience or training related to child rights, juvenile justice or childcare — it carries extra weight in the career marking. Submit well before 5:30 PM on 15 June 2026 to avoid last-minute portal issues.
