Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has kept the CRP-RRBs-XV window open after extending online registration to 27 September 2026. The Common Recruitment Process fills Group “A” Officers (Scale-I, II and III) and Group “B” Office Assistants (Multipurpose) in participating Regional Rural Banks under the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance.

Indicative vacancies now stand at 13,745 after IBPS issued an updated Annexure on 15 September 2026. Office Assistant accounts for 8,222 of those seats. Officer Scale-I has 4,256. Scale-II and Scale-III together add 1,267 more specialist and senior seats.

This is not IBPS PO or IBPS Clerk for commercial public sector banks. Allotment is to a Regional Rural Bank in the State/UT you choose for Office Assistant and Scale-I. Work is rural and semi-urban branch banking. Applications opened on 01 September 2026. Candidates who already submitted a paid form need not apply again only because the date moved.

What Posts Are Available? – IBPS RRB Vacancy & Eligibility 2026

Vacancies below follow the updated Annexure as of 15 September 2026. IBPS labels them as indicative. Provisional allotment uses the actual vacancies that each participating RRB later reports.

Office Assistant is the volume seat. Uttar Pradesh (1,200), Andhra Pradesh (900), Telangana (750), Odisha (600) and Gujarat (510) hold the largest clerk allocations. Scale-I is densest in Gujarat (600), Uttar Pradesh (425), Andhra Pradesh (400), Bihar (394) and Odisha (375). Specialist Scale-II seats are thin: Marketing 16, Treasury 18, Agricultural 38, Law 46. Manipur shows zero Office Assistant and zero Scale-I in this annexure. Tripura shows Office Assistant seats but zero Scale-I.

What Is the Salary? – IBPS RRB PO & Clerk 2026

The IBPS PDF does not print a payslip. Participating RRBs follow IBA officer and award-staff scales under the 12th Bipartite Settlement / 9th Joint Note. Figures below are illustrative estimates for 2026, not an official IBPS figure. Actual in-hand depends on DA for that quarter, HRA of the posting centre, and NPS / statutory deductions of the allotted RRB.

What Is the Application Fee?

Pay online only, from 01 September 2026 to 27 September 2026. If you apply for Office Assistant and an Officer post, you pay twice. The fee paid for an earlier abandoned form is not treated as transferable in the notice.

How to Apply?

IBPS accepts online applications only through the CRP RRBs-XV module on ibps.in.

1. Open the IBPS website → CRP for RRBs → the live CRP-RRBs-XV apply option. Direct forms: Office Assistant 2026 and Officer Scale I–III 2026 (open until 27 September 2026).
2. Click New Registration. Save the provisional registration number and password sent to your email and mobile.
3. Fill in personal, category, education and post details. For Office Assistant and Scale-I, select the State/UT for provisional allotment after reading Annexure-I.
4. Upload photograph, signature, left thumb impression, handwritten declaration and Class 10 / SSC certificate in the size and format given in the notification. Use the Photo & Signature Resizer before you upload.
5. Pay the fee online (debit/credit / net banking / UPI / wallets listed on the payment page).
6. Submit only after a full preview. Download the e-receipt and the completed form. Keep them until provisional allotment.
7. If IBPS opens the two-day edit window after 27 September 2026, correct permitted fields once. Category and some locked fields will not reopen.

A candidate may apply for Office Assistant and also for one Officer scale. Separate form, separate fee. If more than one officer application is submitted, follow the notification’s rule: only one officer post is allowed.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

1. Choosing a State/UT where your category has zero or near-zero seats in Annexure-I, then discovering it after the edit window.
2. Applying for Scale-II/III on a fresh graduate profile. Those cadres need the stated officer / professional experience as on 21 September 2026.
3. Treating NATS/NAPS or an IBPS Clerk/PO registration as this form. CRP-RRBs-XV is a separate registration.
4. Skipping the local-language reality. Office Assistant and Scale-I require proficiency in the official language of the participating RRB’s State/UT. A Language Proficiency Test can still be held after the exam if Class 10 evidence is missing.
5. Waiting until the evening of 27 September. IBPS itself warns of portal jams. Fee unpaid means the form is incomplete.

How Are Candidates Selected?

Selection is a chain of stages, not a single exam score.

Office Assistant (Multipurpose)
Preliminary exam → Main exam → Language Proficiency Test if required → Provisional allotment.
No interview stage is mentioned in the current notification. Selection after Mains is merit-cum-preference, subject to document checks and the roster of the allotted RRB.

Officer Scale-I
Preliminary exam → Main exam → Common interview (100 marks; 40% qualifying, 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD) → Provisional allotment.
Online exam and interview are combined with an 80:20 weightage.

Officer Scale-II and Scale-III

Why Does IBPS Matter?

IBPS is the central testing body for public sector banks and Regional Rural Banks. CRP-RRBs-XV is the fifteenth common process for Group A officers and Group B office assistants in RRBs. The parent policy sits with the Department of Financial Services and NABARD’s supervision of rural credit.

Candidates search for this process because it is the main all-India door to a regular RRB job near home. Office Assistant is the largest graduate clerk intake outside IBPS CSA. A commercial PSB clerk or PO can move across India and sit in a metro corporate centre. An RRB Office Assistant or Scale-I officer is hired for that State’s rural credit franchise. If the other tab is SBI Clerk or IBPS PO, compare posting geography first, then pay.

Best fit: graduates who want a regular IBA-scale bank job and will actually live in a district or block branch. Skip this if rural posting is a deal-breaker. Also skip Scale-II/III if you only have a degree and no officer-level experience. Those forms burn a fee and go nowhere at document check.

Practical tip: If you are a fresh graduate eligible for both, file Office Assistant and Scale-I as two paid forms, and pick the State where Annexure-I actually shows your category. Do not spend the extra ₹850 on Scale-II because the name sounds senior.

What Happens After Selection?

1. IBPS publishes Mains / Single-exam results, then interview call letters for officer posts.
2. Document verification and the interview (officers) are held through the nodal RRB, NABARD and IBPS.
3. A provisional allotment list maps you to one participating RRB, using merit, category, State/UT choice and live vacancies.
4. The allotted RRB issues an offer/joining letter and runs its own medical and police verification.
5. You join a branch or administrative office of that RRB. Probation length and confirmation rules follow that RRB’s service regulations, not a single IBPS template.
