What Is the Salary? – Hassan District Court Peon 2026
Pay scale notified: ₹27,000–650–29,600–725–32,500–800–35,700–900–39,300–1000–43,300–1125–46,675, plus other admissible allowances under Karnataka Civil Services rules.
Hassan is a district headquarters, not a metro. HRA will be lower than Bengaluru.
| Component | Indicative figure |
|---|---|
| Basic pay (entry) | ₹27,000 |
| DA (state rates; verify current %) | Variable |
| HRA (non-metro / district HQ) | Lower slab than X-class cities |
| Other allowances | As admissible |
| Indicative in-hand at start | About ₹38,000–₹45,000/month |
This is an estimate from the notified basic plus typical Karnataka allowances at a district HQ. It is not an official payslip. Actual take-home depends on current DA, HRA slab, NPS deduction and any recovery. Selected staff come under NPS or the pension scheme notified by the Government of Karnataka.
Estimate a similar Level-style take-home on the 7th CPC Salary Calculator. Treat the output as indicative; Karnataka’s own pay matrix and DA prevail.
What Is the Application Fee?
| Category | Fee |
|---|---|
| General, Category 2A / 2B / 3A / 3B, Ex-Servicemen and other paying categories | ₹200 |
| SC, ST, Category-1 and Physically Handicapped | Exempt |
Fee is paid online through the State Bank Collect link on the application flow (Net Banking, card or UPI). Demand drafts, postal orders and money orders are not accepted. Fee, once paid, is not refundable. Applications without the required fee are rejected.
How to Apply?
Applications are online only. There is no offline or email mode.
- Open the Hassan District Court Peon 2026 application portal (also listed on the court recruitment page).
- Read the Kannada notification and on-screen instructions before you start.
- Enter a working mobile number and email. The court is not responsible if SMS or email fails because of a wrong number.
- Upload a colour photo: 5 cm × 3.6 cm, max 50 KB, JPG, white background. Scan the physical photo. Do not paste a digitally edited face.
- Upload signature: black ballpoint on white paper, 2.5 cm × 7.5 cm, max 25 KB, JPG.
- Resize files with the Photo & Signature Resizer before uploading.
- Fill every field, pay ₹200 if you are in a paying category, and submit before 17 September 2026, 11:59 PM.
- Complete fee payment by 19 September 2026 within SBI office hours.
- Download the submitted form and fee receipt. Keep both till the process ends and carry them to interview / verification.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Paying after SBI hours on 19 September 2026. Application close is 17 September; bank hours on the 19th are a separate cut-off.
- Claiming rural, KMS or PwBD without the exact form. Rural needs Form-2 (plus Form-1 creamy-layer for General rural). KMS needs Class 1–10 Kannada-medium proof. PH needs the district medical board format.
- Edited / collaged photographs. The court wants a direct scan of a physical photo on white background.
- Wrong category for the 59-sub-caste SC-C women seat. If you are not on that list, do not assume that seat is yours.
- Treating SSLC percentage as the only filter. Interview is 10 marks and is part of final merit.

Why Does Hassan District Court Matter?
The Principal District and Sessions Court, Hassan is the district judiciary for Hassan district in Karnataka. It functions under the High Court of Karnataka and runs the District Court Complex opposite the KSRTC bus stand at Channapatna, Hassan – 573201. Peons / Sevakas support court halls, record movement and daily office work across the Hassan unit.
Candidates search this drive because it is a regular Group-D court job with a notified pay band, Kannada-medium and rural reservation, and no written paper. Competition is still high: SSLC marks decide who even reaches the 10-mark interview.
The honest limit is scope. This is attendant work in a district court, not a clerical or process-server cadre. Promotion exists but is slow and exam-linked. Posting stays inside the Hassan unit as per court needs, not a Bengaluru preference form.

The SahisarkariJobs.in Analyst’s Take
Hassan is part of a 2026 wave of Karnataka district-court Group-D drives. Compare this with Shivamogga District Court Peon (56 posts) style units and Uttara Kannada’s larger Peon + Process Server mix. Hassan is Peon-only, 48 seats, same ₹27,000 start and the same SSLC-plus-interview method used across several Karnataka court units.
Best fit: SSLC holders who can read and write Kannada, live in or near Hassan, and want a regular court Group-D job without preparing a written paper. Women and rural-certificate holders have a real numerical share (16 and 12). Visually impaired applicants have six earmarked seats.
Who should skip: Graduates hunting for Clerk, Typist or Process Server work. Candidates who cannot produce Kannada-medium, rural or caste forms in the exact G.O. format. Anyone who needs a metro posting or fast promotion.
Practical tip: Treat SSLC percentage as the gate. Recalculate your exact SSLC aggregate before you apply, keep Form-2 / Form-F / VI certificate ready, and do not wait for 17 September evening. The fee can still be paid on 19 September, but the form itself must be in by 17 September, 11:59 PM.

- Kannada medium: certificate for study in Kannada from Class 1 to 10 (G.O. 24-10-2002).
- PwBD: district medical board certificate in the 19-11-2005 format (visually impaired for the PH seats here).

- NPS or the pension scheme notified by the State Government.
- Vacancies can change.
- Already-employed government servants must produce an NOC within 30 days of the selection list.
- Impersonation, forged papers or suppression of facts can cancel candidature at any stage, including after joining.
What Happens After Selection?
- Category-wise interview list is published on the Hassan court website. Appear at your own cost.
- Document verification of SSLC, reservation and identity papers.
- Select list and waiting list are notified. Government servants submit NOC within 30 days.
- Appointment order is issued for a post in the Hassan district court establishment.
- Joining formalities, character / medical checks as required, and start of two-year probation.
- During probation, you must pass the prescribed departmental exams and the Kannada language exam. Confirmation follows successful probation. Pay then moves along the ₹27,000–₹46,675 increment chain. Career movement into higher ministerial posts is separate and usually needs another exam or promotion process.
Typical court Group-D drives in Karnataka take several months from the last date to joining. Plan finances for that gap.

A: 17 September 2026, 11:59 PM for the online form. The fee, if payable, can be paid till 19 September 2026 within SBI office hours. No extension is announced as of 03 September 2026.
Q2: What is the age limit for Hassan District Court Peon?
A: 18 to 40 years for General after the one-time 5-year relaxation, 43 for Category 2A/2B/3A/3B, and 45 for SC/ST/Category-1, as on 17 September 2026. Extra relaxation applies to Ex-SM, PwBD, widows and serving staff as notified.
Q3: Is there an exam for Hassan District Court Peon, or is it interview-based?
A: No written exam is mentioned. The court shortlists candidates based on SSLC marks in a 1:10 ratio, then holds a 10-mark interview on efficiency and general knowledge. Final merit combines SSLC marks and interview.
Q4: What is the salary of a Hassan court Peon?
A: The scale is ₹27,000–₹46,675 plus allowances. Indicative starting in-hand at Hassan is about ₹38,000–₹45,000 a month, depending on DA, HRA and NPS. This is an estimate, not an official slip.
Q5: Can final-year students or result-awaited candidates apply for this recruitment?
A: Only if SSLC or equivalent is passed by 17 September 2026. The notification uses the closing date as the qualification cut-off. Do not apply if your 10th result will come after that date.
Q6: Is Hassan District Court Peon a permanent government job?
A: Yes. It is regular Group-D recruitment on the district court establishment, with two-year probation, departmental and Kannada exams, and NPS or the state-notified pension scheme. It is not a contractual or daily-wage post.
Q7: Can candidates from other states apply for Hassan District Court recruitment?
A: Indian citizens who meet SSLC and Kannada literacy can apply. Reservation benefits (caste, rural, KMS) follow Karnataka certificate rules. Without valid Karnataka-format certificates, you compete only in the open portion.
Q8: Where will I be posted if selected as Peon in Hassan?
A: In the Hassan district court establishment. The notification does not offer a home-taluk choice form. Expect court-complex and unit duty within Hassan district as allotted.
Q9: Is Karnataka domicile required for district court Peon posts?
A: The notification stresses Indian citizenship, SSLC and Kannada. Caste, rural and Kannada-medium reservations need Karnataka-format certificates. Other-state candidates without those papers should not expect reserved seats.
Q10: How much do Group-D court staff earn in Karnataka?
A: District court Peon pay in recent Karnataka notifications starts at ₹27,000 in the same increment chain up to ₹46,675. In-hand at a district HQ is commonly in the high-₹30,000s to mid-₹40,000s after allowances and NPS.
Q11: What are the disadvantages of this Peon job?
A: Worth knowing before you apply: daily work is attendant duty, not desk clerical work. Promotion is slow. The drive is also sub judice before the Karnataka High Court, so timelines can shift if the court so orders.
Q12: Is a district court Peon post worth it after SSLC?
A: Yes if you want a regular state court job, Kannada-based eligibility and no written paper. No if you can wait for Clerk or Process Server notifications, or if you need city-cadre pay and faster promotion.
Q13: Do I need a computer certificate for Karnataka court Group-D jobs?
A: Not for this Hassan Peon notification. The stated tests are SSLC, Kannada literacy and interview. Typist and copyist cadres in other court ads are different and usually require typing.
Final Checklist – Is This the Right Job for You?
- You have SSLC or equivalent by 17 September 2026 and can read and write Kannada.
- Your age fits 18–40 / 43 / 45 (plus extra relaxation if claimed) as on 17 September 2026.
