The Office of the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Yadgir, has opened a fresh Kalyana Karnataka local-cadre drive for court staff after an earlier Process Server and Peon notification was cancelled. Four separate advertisements dated 20 August 2026 (Nos. 03/2026 to 06/2026) invite online applications for 23 Typist, Typist-Copyist, Process Server and Peon posts in the Yadgir district judiciary.
Applications open on 31 August 2026 and close at 11:59 PM on 30 September 2026 on the Yadgir District Court online recruitment portal. The fee can be paid online till 01 October 2026. These are regular ministerial posts under the Karnataka Subordinate Courts (Ministerial and Other Posts) (Recruitment) Rules, 1982, as amended in 2007 and 2021.

How to Apply?
- Open the Yadgir District Court online recruitment portal from 31 August 2026.
- Select the correct advertisement: 03/2026 Typist, 04/2026 Typist-Copyist, 05/2026 Process Server or 06/2026 Peon.
- Fill in personal, educational and reservation details. Keep a working mobile number and email. The court will not be responsible if SMS or email alerts fail because you entered the wrong number.
- Upload a recent passport photograph (5 cm × 3.5 cm, minimum 50 KB) and signature on white paper (2.5 cm × 7.5 cm, minimum 25 KB), both in JPG. Resize files with the Photo & Signature Resizer before upload. Blurred images lead to rejection.
- Upload certificates as PDF in the prescribed forms. Certificates obtained after 30 September 2026 will not be accepted.
- Preview the form. No edits are allowed after final submission.
- Pay the fee online by 01 October 2026 and download the acknowledgement. Save the application number. Interview lists will be published only on the same portal.
Only online applications are accepted. A second application for the same post cancels the earlier one. Only the last submitted form is counted.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Applying without a 371-J local-cadre certificate. This is a local-cadre notification. The certificate must be in the format notified under DPAR/06/PLKA/2012 dated 06 November 2013 and valid on the last date.
- Mixing Senior and Junior Grade typing. Typist needs Senior Grade in both Kannada and English. Typist-Copyist needs Junior Grade in both languages. One language or the wrong grade will fail scrutiny.
- Uploading an SSLC grade card without a marks conversion. For Process Server and Peon, if Class 10 is shown as a grade, convert it to marks through the competent authority and upload that statement before 30 September 2026.
- Using a caste certificate issued for education concessions. Only income-and-caste certificates issued for employment are accepted (Form D for SC/ST, Form E for Category-1, Form F for 2A/2B/3A/3B).
- Waiting for a written exam that is not there. Final ranking for all four posts rests on a 10-mark interview after the shortlisting / typing gate.

How Are Candidates Selected?
Selection is direct recruitment under the Karnataka Subordinate Courts (Ministerial and Other Posts) (Recruitment) Rules, 1982, as amended in 2007 and 2021. There is no common written paper for all four posts.
Typist and Typist-Copyist
- Document check of PUC / diploma and KSEEB typing certificates.
- Typing proficiency test: a 15-minute dictated passage in Kannada and English on a typewriter or computer, as directed. Maximum 100 marks in each language. Minimum 50 marks in each language to qualify.
- Interview of 10 marks for candidates who clear both languages.
- Final merit is based on interview marks, not on the typing score.
- Document verification and appointment order.
Process Server
- Merit list from SSLC / equivalent percentage (convert grades to marks first).
- Shortlist at 1 post: 25 candidates in each notified vacancy cell.
- Interview of 10 marks.

Kalaburagi, Raichur and Bidar district courts run similar ministerial drives under the same 1982 Rules. High Court of Karnataka Group-C cycles pay in a comparable band but draw a much larger applicant pool and usually add a written paper. Against those, Yadgir’s advantage is the 371-J lock: fewer eligible outsiders can enter. The trade-off is a tiny vacancy count and a 10-mark interview that decides the final list after typing or SSLC shortlisting.

Promotion path is typical subordinate-court seniority: Peon → Process Server / Attender lines; Typist-Copyist → Typist → Senior Typist / Assistant cadres through departmental rules.
