Gadag District Court Peon Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 22 Posts

Gadag District Court Peon Recruitment 2026 notification for 22 Jawan posts in Karnataka

Posts: 22 · Location: Gadag district, Karnataka · Qualification: SSLC / 10th + read and write Kannada · Pay: ₹27,000–₹46,675 · Apply by: 31 October 2026, 11:59 PM · Mode: Online · Job Type: Regular Government Service

SSLC marks alone decide who is called. The 10-mark interview decides who is selected. The Principal District and Sessions Court, Gadag, has invited online applications for 22 Peon (ಜವಾನ / Jawan) posts under Notification No. 1/2026 dated 25 September 2026.

The court is a district judiciary office under the High Court of Karnataka. Posting is in courts functioning in Gadag district. Applications are open on the Gadag online recruitment page from 28 September 2026 to 31 October 2026, 11:59 PM. The fee can be paid until 03 November 2026.

You need a pass in SSLC or an equivalent 10th examination, and you must be able to read and write Kannada. The drive is subject to the final order in W.P. No. 200448/2025. There is no written exam in this notification.

⚠️ Application Alerts

  • The final list uses interview marks only. SSLC marks are the shortlist gate, at five candidates per seat, not the selection score.
  • The form closes at 11:59 PM on 31 October 2026. Fee payment stays open until 03 November 2026. The notice does not allow changes after you submit.
  • This recruitment is subject to the final order in W.P. No. 200448/2025.
  • No separate interview call letter is issued. The court sends the intimation by SMS or email. In-service candidates must carry the No Objection Certificate to the interview, not necessarily at the application stage.

Who Should Apply?

SSLC / 10th pass, with the ability to read and write Kannada → Peon (ಜವಾನ) – 22 posts

Accepted certificates are SSLC from the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board, CBSE, ICSE, other State Boards, NIOS, and Karnataka Open School. A candidate who already holds a higher qualification may still apply. The SSLC or equivalent pass is the qualifying examination.

Horizontal reservation sits within the 22 seats. It does not add posts.

  • Women: 7 seats
  • Rural candidates: 5 seats
  • Kannada-medium candidates: 2 seats
  • Ex-servicemen: 2 seats
  • Persons with disability: 1 seat

Claim the rural, Kannada-medium, caste, disability or ex-serviceman column only if you can produce the certificate named in the notification. Because the notice uses “equivalent” for the SSLC, a candidate whose 10th certificate is from a board outside the printed list should get written confirmation from the court before applying.

Who cannot apply

  • A candidate who has not passed SSLC or an accepted equivalent.
  • A candidate who cannot read and write Kannada.
  • A candidate above the outer age limit, including the one-time five-year relaxation printed in the notice.
  • A person who is not a citizen of India.
  • A person with more than one living spouse, unless the custom or the government permission printed in the notice applies.
  • A person dismissed from government service, or convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude, as stated in the notification.

Your SSLC percentage matters before the interview

There is no written test. The court prepares a merit list on the average of language and other subjects in SSLC or the equivalent 10th examination. Optional subjects are excluded. Candidates are called for interview in the ratio of 1:5, that is, five candidates per post. The interview is of 10 marks. A low SSLC average can keep you off the interview list even if you prepare well for the viva.

If the marks card shows grades, use the conversion method of that board. This Marks to Percentage Calculator is an indicative check. The official formula in the notification prevails.

What Is the Age Limit?

Age is reckoned on the last date for submitting the application, 31 October 2026. The notification prints these bands, then a one-time relaxation of five years for every category under the Government Order dated 29 January 2026 (DPAR 262 SENANI 2025, as cited in the notification) and the High Court of Karnataka letter dated 24 February 2026 (DCA/400/2021). That relaxation is in force until 31 December 2027. Copy the Kannada order number from the PDF before you quote it on a form.

CategoryPrinted bandOuter limit with the printed 5-year relaxation
General Merit18 to 35 years40 years
Category-IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB18 to 38 years43 years
Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Category-I18 to 40 years45 years

The notice does not print a separate extra year count for ex-servicemen or persons with disabilities beyond this one-time relaxation.

Examples:

✅ A 39-year-old General Merit candidate born on 01 November 1986 is eligible (within the 40-year outer limit as on 31 October 2026).

❌ A 41-year-old General Merit candidate born on 31 October 1985 is not eligible (exceeds that outer limit by 1 year).

Use our Age Eligibility Calculator to check instantly.

The date of birth must appear on the SSLC marks card. If it does not, the transfer certificate or study certificate showing the date of birth is required, as printed in the notice.

What Is the Salary?

The notification prints this Karnataka state scale, plus other allowances: ₹27,000–650–29,600–725–32,500–800–35,700–900–39,300–1,000–43,300–1,125–46,675.

The starting basic in that scale is ₹27,000. The notification does not print Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, or an in-hand figure. No take-home estimate is given here. The appointment order is the document that will show the allowances.

This is a state subordinate-courts scale, not a 7th Central Pay Commission Level. Do not treat ₹27,000 as a Central Level basic.

What Is the Application Fee?

CategoryFee
General Merit and others₹200
Category-IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB₹100
Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Category-IExempt
Differently abled, ex-servicemen, Kannada-medium and rural candidatesExempt, as printed in the notification

Pay online through the route given on the recruitment page. The notice points candidates to State Bank of India online payment. The fee deadline is 03 November 2026, after the form closes. The notification does not mention a refund rule.

How to Apply?

  1. Open the Gadag District Court online recruitment page and select Notification No. 1/2026 for Peon.
  2. Fill the form with the name, date of birth, and SSLC details exactly as on the marks card.
  3. Upload the photograph and signature in the size the form asks for. Use our Photo & Signature Resizer if the file needs resizing. The notification does not print pixel sizes.
  4. Pay the fee, if it applies to you, by 03 November 2026.
  5. Submit once. The notice does not provide an edit window after submission.
  6. Print the submitted application and keep the payment proof. Carry both, with originals, when the interview SMS or email arrives.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Treating the SSLC average as the final selection score. It only decides the 1:5 interview call. The final list is based on the 10 interview marks.
  • Stopping on 31 October after the form, and missing the fee on 03 November 2026.
  • Claiming a rural or Kannada-medium seat without the certificate that the notice asks for.
  • Using a 10th certificate from a board outside the printed list (Karnataka SSLC, CBSE, ICSE, other State Boards, NIOS, Karnataka Open School) without written confirmation.
  • Waiting for a postal call letter. The notice says the interview intimation goes by SMS or email.

  1. Scrutiny of the online application.
  2. Merit list on the average of language and other subjects in SSLC or the equivalent 10th examination. Optional subjects are left out.

  4. Interview of 10 marks. Qualifying marks are 5 out of 10 for General Merit and 4 out of 10 for other categories.
  5. Final selection on interview marks, subject to document verification and the reservation roster.

No interview stage is missing here. There is no written exam. The notice does not mention a typing test or a physical test. The interview intimation is sent by SMS or email. No separate call letter is issued.

The SahisarkariJobs.in Analyst’s Take

A 10th-pass candidate in Gadag is also watching other Karnataka district-court peon notices under the same subordinate-courts rules. This notice is different in a way the PDF itself states: five candidates are called per seat on SSLC marks, and the final list is based on the 10-mark interview alone.

Best fit: an SSLC-pass candidate who can read and write Kannada, has the marks card with date of birth, and can carry a rural, Kannada-medium, caste or disability certificate if claiming that column.

Skip this if you need a written-exam preparation cycle, or you cannot produce Kannada reading and writing. The viva is the only scored stage after the shortlist.

Practical tip: Work out the SSLC average without optional subjects before you pay the fee. Only five candidates per seat are called, and those marks do not carry into the final list.

What Documents Are Required?

  • SSLC or equivalent marks card, with date of birth. If the marks card has no date of birth, provide the transfer certificate or study certificate.
  • Proof of ability to read and write Kannada, as the form requires.
  • Caste and income certificate, if you claim a reserved category.
  • Rural certificate, if you claim the rural column.
  • Kannada-medium study certificate, if you claim that column.
  • Disability certificate, if you claim the person-with-disability seat.
  • Discharge certificate, if you claim the ex-serviceman seat.
  • No Objection Certificate at the interview, if you are already in government service.
  • Photograph, signature and the printed application with fee proof.

Document alert: The date of birth on the marks card is the age proof. A rural or Kannada-medium claim without the matching certificate will not hold that horizontal seat. Originals are checked at the interview, with one set of self-attested copies.

What Happens After Selection?

  1. The court publishes the interview intimation and sends it by SMS or email. There is no separate call letter.
  2. You attend with originals and one set of self-attested copies. Document verification happens at that stage.
  3. The final list is prepared on interview marks, subject to the roster and the qualifying marks (5/10 for General Merit, 4/10 for others).
  4. Appointment follows that list. The notice does not print a probation period, a joining timeline, or a bond. Those, if any, will be in the appointment order under the cited recruitment rules.
  5. This recruitment remains subject to the final order in W.P. No. 200448/2025.

The 25 September 2026 advertisement does not print a recruitment helpline or email. Applications go only through the online page. For the notice and later interview lists, use the Gadag District Court website.
