The notices are ADM/133/2026, ADM/134/2026, ADM/135/2026 and ADM/136/2026, all dated 30 September 2026. Forms open only on 07 October 2026 and close on 06 November 2026 at 11:59 PM on the court’s online recruitment page. Post, in-person and email applications are not accepted.
This is direct recruitment under the Karnataka Subordinate Courts (Ministerial and Other Posts) (Recruitment) (Amendment) Rules, 2021, in the subordinate judiciary of Karnataka. Selected candidates come under the National Pension System. Each notice is also subject to the final judgment of the High Court of Karnataka in Writ Petition Nos. 200448/2025 c/w 17968/2025 and 3145/2023.

Who Should Apply?
- II PUC or a 3-year Diploma in Commercial Practice, plus Senior Grade Kannada and English typewriting from the Department of Public Instruction (or equivalent), and computer knowledge for office work → Typist (ಬೆರಳಚ್ಚುಗಾರ) – 8 posts (2 backlog + 6 new), ADM/133/2026.
- The same II PUC or Diploma in Commercial Practice, plus Junior Grade Kannada and English typewriting, and computer knowledge for office work → Typist-Copyist (ನಕಲು-ಬೆರಳಚ್ಚುಗಾರ) – 18 posts, ADM/134/2026.
- SSLC or equivalent. A motor-vehicle driving licence (HVM or LVM) is preferred, not a mandatory condition → Process Server (ಆದೇಶ ಜಾರಿಕಾರ) – 24 posts, ADM/135/2026.
- SSLC or equivalent, and able to read and write Kannada → Peon (ಜವಾನ) – 36 posts, ADM/136/2026.
- Because each notice uses “or equivalent”, a candidate whose certificate is outside the named qualification should get written confirmation from the court rather than assume it will be accepted.
Reservation printed in the notices
Horizontal claims sit inside the category roster: women, rural, ex-servicemen, Kannada medium, project-displaced persons, persons with disability, and transgender. Claim every reservation you hold in the same form.
- Typist backlog: 1 Scheduled Caste and 1 Category-2A, both reserved for candidates with blindness or low vision. If that disability is not available, the notice follows Government Order No. SiAaSuE 02 SeHiMa 2023 dated 08 March 2023.
- Typist-Copyist: 1 General Merit seat identified for blindness or low vision (roster point 4). The Scheduled Caste (Category-C) seat is for the 59 most backward castes. If none is available, other Category-C candidates are considered under Government Order dated 13 May 2026.
- Process Server: 1 General Merit and 1 Category-2A seat identified for blindness or low vision (roster point 4 on each).
- Peon: 1 seat identified for locomotor disability.
Backlog seats are unfilled reserved seats carried into this notice. They are part of the printed total, not extra posts on top of it.
Who cannot apply
- A candidate without Senior Grade Kannada and English typewriting cannot apply for Typist. Junior Grade is the Typist-Copyist condition, not the Typist condition.
- A candidate who cannot read and write Kannada cannot apply for Peon.
- A candidate above the printed maximum, including the one-time 5 years, cannot apply unless a further relaxation under the Karnataka Civil Services (General Recruitment) Rules, 1977 is actually available to that candidate. The notices do not print those extra years.

What Is the Age Limit?
Age is reckoned on 06 November 2026, the last date for applications. The minimum is 18. The printed maximum already includes a one-time 5-year relaxation under Government Order No. SiAaSuE 262 SeNeNi 2025 dated 29 January 2026, for every category in this selection.

These are Karnataka state pay scales, not a 7th Central Pay Commission Level. The notices print the scale. They do not print dearness allowance, house rent allowance or an in-hand figure, so no take-home estimate is given here.

Selected candidates come under the National Pension System, as the notices state. Probation is 2 years under the Karnataka Civil Services (Probation) Rules, 1977. Typist and Typist-Copyist must also pass the prescribed departmental examinations, the Kannada language test and the computer literacy test during probation. The Process Server and Peon notices print the 2-year probation. They do not print those three tests.

How to Apply?
- From 07 October 2026, open the Bengaluru Rural District Court online recruitment page and choose the notice for the post you are applying to.
- Fill out one form for that notice. Claim every reservation in that same form.
- Upload a recent colour photograph in JPG, not over 50 KB. Do not sign on the photograph. Upload the signature separately in JPG, not over 25 KB. Use our Photo & Signature Resizer if the file is over those limits.
- Pay the fee on State Bank Collect if you are not exempt; then e-verify.
- Download the application and the fee receipt. Carry both to the skill test or interview and to document verification.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Filing a Typist form with only a Junior Grade certificate. Senior Grade is mandatory for Typist.
- Paying by draft or challan, or skipping e-verify after State Bank Collect.
- Signing across the photograph, or uploading a file over 50 KB (photo) or 25 KB (signature).
- Waiting for a posted admit card. The notice says the card is downloaded from the website and is not sent separately.
- Treating a driving licence as compulsory for Process Server. The notice gives it as a preference.

bengalururural.dcourts.gov.in/online-recruitment ಮೂಲಕ ಮಾತ್ರ ಅರ್ಜಿ. ಸ್ಟೇಟ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಕಲೆಕ್ಟ್ ಮೂಲಕ ಶುಲ್ಕ ಪಾವತಿಸಿ ತಕ್ಷಣ e-verify ಮಾಡಿ. ಒಂದು ಅಧಿಸೂಚನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಅರ್ಜಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರೆ ಕೊನೆಯ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಪರಿಗಣನೆ. ಭಾವಚಿತ್ರ 50 KB ಒಳಗೆ, ಸಹಿ 25 KB ಒಳಗೆ, JPG ನಮೂನೆ. ಸಂದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಅಂಚೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ವೆಬ್ಸೈಟ್ನಿಂದ ಡೌನ್ಲೋಡ್ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು.
How Are Candidates Selected?
Direct recruitment under the 2021 amendment rules. There is no common written examination for all four posts.
Typist and Typist-Copyist
Kannada and English skill tests carry 100 marks each. The minimum to qualify is 50 in each. Dictation is 15 minutes, typed on a computer. The notice says the software resembles a typewriter keyboard. Candidates are called for interview in a 1:5 ratio on qualification marks and skill-test marks, reservation-wise. Interview marks are 5 per cent of the maximum marks of the eligibility test. The select list uses the percentage in the prescribed qualification, the skill-test percentage, and the interview marks.
Process Server and Peon
No skill test is printed. Shortlisting uses the percentage in the prescribed qualification examination. Process Server calls 25 candidates per post (1:25). Peon calls 10 candidates per post (1:10). The interview is 10 marks. The selection list is based on interview marks. If marks are equal, the older candidate is placed higher.
Skill-test and interview dates are not in the notices. Lists and the schedule will be published on the court website. Travel to the test or interview is at the candidate’s own cost.

The SahisarkariJobs.in Analyst’s Take
This is a district-court ministerial and Group-D style intake under one set of Karnataka subordinate-court rules, split into four notices. The typing posts require a qualifying computer skills test. Process Server and Peon turn on SSLC percentage for the call list, then a 10-mark interview. A candidate comparing this with a written-test recruitment is looking at a different selection design, not a higher starting basic.
Best fit: a candidate who already holds the matching typewriting grade, or an SSLC holder who can read and write Kannada and is willing to attend an interview in Bengaluru at their own cost.
Think twice if you have only Junior Grade typewriting and want the Typist seat, or if you want a written-exam merit list. Process Server and Peon do not print one.
Practical tip: pay on State Bank Collect and e-verify in the same sitting. The notice rejects an unpaid form, and it does not offer a later correction if the application number on the payment is wrong.

- Date-of-birth proof: SSLC marks card or birth certificate
- Educational marks cards. Typist and Typist-Copyist also need the typewriting certificates
- Caste and income certificates from the Tahsildar: Form D for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe, Form E for Category-1, Form F for Category 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B. Scheduled Caste candidates must also show whether they fall in Category A, B or C
- Rural reservation: Form-2 from the school head, countersigned by the field education officer, under the Government Order dated 10 August 2005. If that certificate is rejected, the candidate also loses the rural claim
- Certificates for Kannada medium, ex-servicemen, disability, project-displaced or transgender claims, from the competent authority
- Photo identity: voter ID, Aadhaar, driving licence, PAN or passport
- In-service candidates: No Objection Certificate within 30 days of the select list, not with the online form
What Happens After Selection?
- The select list is prepared as printed in each notice. The whole recruitment remains subject to the final judgment in Writ Petition Nos. 200448/2025 c/w 17968/2025 and 3145/2023.
- In-service candidates produce the No Objection Certificate within 30 days of publication of that list.
- Document verification uses the originals listed above. A false statement or a suppressed fact can lead to cancellation, and the notice also mentions criminal and disciplinary action.
- Appointment is on probation for 2 years under the Karnataka Civil Services (Probation) Rules, 1977. Pay follows the scale of the post. The candidate comes under the National Pension System.
- Typist and Typist-Copyist must pass the departmental examinations, the Kannada language test and the computer literacy test during probation. The notices do not print a joining date.

What is the age limit for Bengaluru Rural District Court recruitment?
18 years minimum. General Merit is 35+5 years, Category 2A/2B/3A/3B is 38+5 years, and Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Category-1 are 40+5 years. The extra 5 years are a one-time relaxation dated 29 January 2026. Age is calculated as of 06 November 2026. Further relaxation for government servants, widows, ex-servicemen and persons with disabilities is under the 1977 rules, and the extra years are not printed here.
Is there an exam for these posts, or is it interview-based?
