ESIC Indore is not hiring one generic “faculty” pool. Seats are department-wise and category-wise. Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Surgery and super-speciality units carry a large share of Senior Resident and senior faculty seats. Pre-clinical and para-clinical departments have thinner, more specific openings.
Practical takeaway: apply only where your registered speciality matches the row. A Medicine MD cannot treat a Radiology Professor seat as interchangeable. Vacancies are provisional and can move with hospital need.
Your postgraduate percentage and teaching file matter before the interview. There is no written test in this recruitment. The board shortlists based on academic credentials and then scores the interview. A thin publication or experience file can stop you at scrutiny even if you prepare well for the viva.

Eligibility – Education, Age & Registration
Qualification is not a generic “medical graduate” line. Faculty and Senior Resident posts need a postgraduate medical qualification recognised by the National Medical Commission for that department.
Typical NMC mapping candidates actually use (confirm from current NMC TEQ before you apply):
- Senior Resident / Assistant Professor: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned speciality after MBBS.
- Associate Professor / Professor: same PG plus the teaching experience and research publications prescribed for that cadre.
- Super-speciality rows (Cardiology, Neurology, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Oncology, Urology, Rheumatology, ICU) need the matching DM/M.Ch/DNB super-speciality pathway where NMC requires it.
Updated State / NMC medical registration is mandatory. If renewal is in process, carry proof that you have applied. ICMR/NMC biomedical research certificate and NMC Basic/Revised Medical Education workshop certificates should be attached if you hold them.

Pay is consolidated contractual remuneration built on 7th CPC basic plus ESIC Headquarters allowances. It is not a pensionable regular faculty salary.

Service Conditions
Engagement is for one year, or until a regular incumbent joins, or until 70 years of age for faculty, whichever is earliest. Extension can go up to three years on satisfactory performance.
Either side may end the contract with one month’s notice. Immediate resignation requires deposit of one month’s remuneration in the ESI account. A security deposit of ₹20,000 is taken and can be forfeited if you resign or are terminated within six months of joining.
This is contractual work. Pension, NPS cadre benefits and automatic absorption are not part of the advertisement.
