Pay is Level-6 of the applicable matrix. The notification does not print basic pay, DA or HRA. Bihar state services use the 7th CPC-style matrix, where Level-6 basic is ₹35,400.

What Is the Application Fee?

Fee is not refunded after a successful payment. If money is deducted but registration fails because of power, internet or bank-link failure, the payment gateway refunds it within 7 working days. How to Apply?

Applications are accepted only online. Do not post the form to the Commission.

1. Open the BPSSC Company Commander 2026 application portal (also linked from the Home Guard tab on bpssc.bihar.gov.in under Advt. No. 11/2026). The window is from 10 September 2026 to 10 October 2026.
2. Keep one active mobile number and email ID in your own name. Both are mandatory. Login details will be sent to that number and inbox for the rest of the process.

4. Pay ₹100 online. After payment, Part-1 fields cannot be edited. Wrong data can only be fixed by cancelling the registration and paying again. The first fee is not refunded.
5. Log in for Part-2. Fill in father’s/husband’s name, mother’s name, address and educational details, then accept the declaration.
6. Upload a colour photo taken within the last two months (white background, 15–25 KB, .jpg/.jpeg/.gif) and separate English and Hindi signatures in black or blue ink (same size and format, white background). Resize files with the Photo & Signature Resizer before uploading.
7. Use Edit Details before you Confirm and Submit. After Submit, the Commission will not change the form.
8. Wait for the SMS/email confirmation. Print the acknowledgement on A4 and keep it. You do not need to send this printout to BPSSC unless asked later.

One candidate may file only one online application. One mobile number may be used for only one application. If more than one application is submitted, all applications of that candidate will be rejected.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

1. Applying without a headquarters certificate of 5 years’ Home Guard training and duty. Missing this certificate is a listed ground for cancellation.
2. Married reserved-category women uploading caste or residence certificates in the husband’s name. Caste is by birth. Use the father’s certificates, or the candidature can be cancelled.
3. Using a photo or signature outside 15–25 KB, or a photo older than two months. Unclear or third-person images cancel the form.
4. Registering, paying, and never submitting Part-2. An unfinished second part is treated as an invalid candidature.

How Are Candidates Selected?

Selection is a three-stage pipeline, not a single exam. Written papers come first. PET only checks those already shortlisted. Medical and character checks sit after the merit list.
