Almost the entire Phase-II list sits in two departments: Forensic Medicine & Toxicology (FMT) and Dental Disease. Registration opened on 25 August 2026 and closes on 08 September 2026 (10:00 PM). Fee payment and final submission stay open till 11:59 PM the same day.

Eligibility – Education, Registration & Bond

Minimum qualification is a postgraduate qualification in the same subject recognised under NMC Teachers Eligibility Qualifications in Medical Institutions Regulations, 2025. DNB and DNB Super Speciality are treated as valid.

PG Diploma is used only when PG-degree candidates are short. Diploma holders lose 10 marks in the merit list and rank below degree holders even with equal marks.

Medical registration with NMC / State Medical Council (or DCI for dental posts) is required at document verification. Serving candidates must carry an attested NOC. Bonded PG doctors may apply if the employer issues an NOC; tenure starts from the joining date.

Lecturers or Assistant Professors who never completed an SR / Tutor tenure remain eligible. Every candidate must file an affidavit that they have not already finished a three-year SR / Tutor tenure in the applied subject.

Grace marks are ignored. Only actual marks count. Foreign graduates are scored on the FMGE / screening-exam marks, not on the foreign degree transcript. Super-speciality (DM / MCh) after MBBS gets 20 points (10 for PG + 10 for super-speciality), same as DM / MCh after MD / MS.

What Is the Age Limit?

Age is reckoned as on 01 August 2026. No minimum age is printed.

Only one extra relaxation may be used. Disability relaxation is not stacked on BHS or category relaxation.

What Is the Senior Resident Salary in Bihar?

Selected doctors draw Level-09 of the 7th CPC pay matrix plus Dearness Allowance and other admissible allowances. BHS cadre doctors already in service keep their existing pay plus DA and allowances.

Level-09 basic starts at ₹53,100. With DA near 55% in 2026, HRA at 20% in Y-class cities (Patna) or 10% in most district campuses, and standard deductions, the indicative take-home is:

What Is the Application Fee?

One fee for every category. Pay only online: debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI. A gateway charge is extra.

The fee is a counselling fee, not an exam fee. It is non-refundable after a successful debit. If money leaves your account but the portal shows failure, pay again in full before 08 September 2026 (11:59 PM). The failed debit is refunded later. An unpaid form is rejected even if Steps 1–3 look complete.

How to Apply?

Applications are accepted only on the Senior Resident / Tutor (II)-2026 portal. Do not post a hard copy to the Board.

1. Open the BCECEB Senior Resident / Tutor notice board or go directly to the SENIOR RESIDENT/TUTOR(II)-2026 apply portal (open until 08 September 2026).
2. Complete New Registration with your own or a parent’s mobile and email. Both will receive a verification code. That mobile and email cannot be changed later.
3. Sign in with the registration number and password. Choose the department (FMT or Dental Disease), then fill in personal, address and education details.
4. Upload a high-contrast colour photo, signature, and the live photograph the portal asks for. Resize files first with the Photo & Signature Resizer.
5. Preview the form. Use “Back to Edit” if needed. Then click Final Submit & Proceed to Payment.
6. Pay ₹2,250 online and download the Confirmation Page plus fee receipt.
7. If something is wrong after payment, correct it only on 09 September 2026 during the edit window.
8. Carry the confirmation page and originals to document verification. Do not courier anything to BCECEB.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

• Treating a failed payment as “done.” If the Board does not receive ₹2,250 by 11:59 PM on 08 September 2026, the form dies. Pay again and keep both receipts.
• Using a Phase-I (April 2026) login for Phase-II. This is a new advertisement. Register afresh on the (II)-2026 portal.
• Skipping the live photo. The notice requires a live capture in addition to the scanned photograph.
• Claiming BC / EBC / SC / ST without a current Non-Creamy Layer/caste certificate issued in Bihar. Missing NCL means UR treatment.

How Are Senior Residents and Tutors Selected?

No interview stage is mentioned in the current notification. Selection is based on a merit panel plus document verification/counselling.

1. Online application and fee — form must reach “finally submitted + paid” status by 08 September 2026 (11:59 PM).
2. Merit panel — academic marks and extra points (super-speciality, related higher qualification) as per the prospectus, applied within the 40-40-20 source quota and Bihar reservation rules.
