The SahisarkariJobs.in Analyst’s Take

GMCH Chandigarh tenure posts sit alongside other medical college senior resident and junior resident drives in the region. The printed pay for Senior Residents is Level-11 with 20% NPA, which matches the structure used in many central and state medical college resident posts.

Best fit: Postgraduate doctors seeking a structured three-year senior residency tenure at a government medical college in Chandigarh, or fresh MBBS/BDS graduates who can complete internship by 31 December 2026 and want a one-year junior residency starting January 2027.

Who should skip: Candidates who have already completed three years of senior residency (for SR posts) or one year of junior residency (for JR posts). Those who cannot relocate to Chandigarh for the written test and interview, or who need a permanent cadre appointment immediately.

Practical tip: Upload every listed document (degree, registration, marks sheets, internship certificate, caste certificate if applicable, and NOC if in service) at the time of online application. Incomplete uploads lead to rejection at the provisional eligibility stage.

What Documents Are Required?

Upload the following at the time of filing the online application form:

  • MBBS/BDS Degree
  • MBBS registration
  • MD/MS/DNB/M.Sc. degree (as applicable)
  • MD/MS/DNB/M.Sc. registration (as applicable)
  • Marks sheets of all Prof.
  • Matriculation Certificate for Date of Birth
  • Rotatory internship completion certificate
  • Caste certificate, if applicable
  • Experience certificate, if any
  • No Objection Certificate from the present employer (if working in Govt./Semi Govt./Corporate Body/Undertaking)
  • Any other relevant document

At the interview, bring originals plus one set of self-attested photocopies.

What Happens After Selection? – Service Conditions

  1. Shortlisted candidates are called for an interview on the date intimated later.
  2. Original documents and NOC (if applicable) are verified at the interview.
