Who Should Apply?

B.E./B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical or Environmental Engineering, or Sections A and B of AMIE (India) Civil → Assistant Environmental Engineer – 41 posts (40 + 01 carry-forward).

The qualification must be from a recognised university in India, or an institution recognised by the University Grants Commission, and must be held on 06 October 2026. The notice does not ask for work experience.

Age is 18 to 44 years as on 01 July 2026. SC, ST, BC and EWS candidates get 5 years. Persons with Benchmark Disabilities get 10 years. How Are Candidates Selected?

Selection is on merit in the written examination, subject to qualifying the Computer Proficiency Test. No interview stage is mentioned in this notification.

Appearance in both papers is compulsory. Absence in either paper disqualifies the candidate. After the written test, candidates provisionally shortlisted in the ratio the Commission prescribes must qualify the CPT. The notice does not print that ratio.
