NCRTC pays these posts on its own IDA scales, not 7th CPC. Initial basic is ₹37,000 (S1) and ₹18,250 (NS3). Variable DA, HRA and cafeteria perks are added at company rates. Posting can be anywhere NCRTC operates, including Delhi NCR project units.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

1. Applying for Junior Maintainer with only a diploma/B.Tech and no matching ITI. The notice is explicit: without ITI, higher qualification is ignored.
2. Uploading a 20–50 KB photo. This form asks for 100–200 KB. A typical SSC-size file can fail.
3. Paying once and selecting two posts inside one form. Each post needs its own fee.
4. Applying for two posts and assuming you can sit two CBTs. The notice warns that CBTs may be on the same date and time, so you can appear for one post only.
5. Using a part-time or distance diploma. Only full-time regular courses from UGC/AICTE/statutory-council institutions count (NCRTC staff with one year of service are the exception).

Selection is a chain of stages, not a single exam. Notice 32/2026 states: Computer-Based Test, then medical fitness, then document and character checks before appointment.

• You have chosen the correct track: direct recruitment (Notice 32/2026) or 5-year contract with no regularisation right (Notice 33/2026).
• For Maintainer posts, you must hold the matching full-time ITI, not only a diploma or degree.
• You can arrange documents, category certificates and a conversion letter before medical / DV.
• You can meet A-3, B-1 or C-1 vision rules (LASIK not accepted).
• You accept shift duty and posting at any NCRTC unit, plus a 3-year surety bond.
• You will pick one CBT target, because exams for two posts may fall on the same slot.
