The SahisarkariJobs.in Analyst’s Take
This recruitment is for the Supreme Court of India Registry, not a High Court or district court stenographer pool. The combination of 110 w.p.m. English shorthand, 40 w.p.m. computer typing and a written test on the Constitution and Supreme Court Rules sets a higher bar than many state court personal assistant drives.
Best fit: Graduates who already hold or can demonstrate English shorthand at 110 w.p.m. and computer typing at 40 w.p.m., and who are prepared for work at odd hours and on holidays in New Delhi.

Who should skip: Candidates who do not currently meet the 110 w.p.m. shorthand or 40 w.p.m. typing standard, or who cannot accept the odd-hours undertaking. Those seeking age relaxation while working in other government departments, PSUs or nationalised banks will not get it.
Practical tip: Practise the exact shorthand and typing conditions (7-minute dictation + 45-minute transcription; 10-minute typing with the printed mistake rules) well before the tests. The shortlist ratios are 1:10 for the skill tests and 1:3 for the interview if numbers are large; only the printed ratios apply.
What Documents Are Required?
While submitting the online application, upload:
- Recent photograph and signature
- Class X certificate
- Class XII certificate
- Graduation certificate
- Caste/community certificate (reserved category candidates)
- Disability certificate (if applicable)
Name, father’s name, mother’s name and date of birth must match the High School / Class X Board certificate. Any change requires Gazette Notification support, verified at document verification. Serving Central/State Government, Nationalised Bank or PSU employees must produce No Objection Certificate at document verification. Candidates who get employment after applying must intimate the Branch Officer, Recruitment Cell, at recruitment.cell@sci.nic.in.
What Happens After Selection?
- Merit list is prepared after all stages of the examination.
- Document verification of original certificates establishing eligibility.
- Appointment to the post of Senior Personal Assistant, subject to the panel and medical/fitness conditions under the applicable Rules.
- Submission of the undertaking to work at odd hours and holidays without demur.
- Service during probation and thereafter as per the Supreme Court Officers and Servants (Conditions of Service and Conduct) Rules, 1961. The advertisement notes that candidature or appointment can be cancelled even after confirmation if false information is found.
The notice does not print a specific probation period or bond amount.
