Service Conditions
Appointments are on the regular university cadre. Lab Assistant, Store Keeper, Senior Clerk and Junior Clerk serve the first five years on the Gujarat fixed-pay resolutions cited above, then move to the printed 7th CPC level. After regular appointment, pension cover is the New Defined Contributory Pension Scheme, not the old pension scheme. The Librarian may be given extra academic or administrative work besides library duties. Offer letters lapse if terms are not accepted in the time stated. Courts at Junagadh have jurisdiction.
What Happens After Selection?
- BKNMU verifies originals against the hard-copy file and the online form.
- An Offer of Appointment is emailed/issued with joining time and pay terms.
- You accept the offer in writing within the stated window. Silence is treated as withdrawal.
- You join at the Khadiya campus and complete police/character and medical formalities required at appointment.
- Group C fixed-pay appointees draw the printed monthly fixed amount for five years, then the Level-2 / Level-4 / Level-5 matrix. Other posts start on the notified Level.
- After regular appointment, NPS enrolment follows the 18 March 2005 Finance Department resolution. Later promotion depends on university rules and vacant higher seats. That path is not mapped in these advertisements.

What is the age limit for BKNMU Non-Teaching posts?
35 years for Junior Clerk, 40 years for most administrative posts, 45 years for Internal Audit Officer, and 57 years for Librarian, all as on 16 October 2026. Reserved-category, women and PwBD relaxation follows Government of Gujarat rules. Exact extended ages are not printed.
Is there an exam for BKNMU Non-Teaching posts, or is it interview-based?

Is a state university non-teaching job better than a GPSC/GSSSB clerk exam?
Different route. GPSC/GSSSB give a common statewide exam and a larger vacancy pool. BKNMU is a single-campus file: your own written paper, a physical bundle in Junagadh, and post-wise interviews for senior seats. Pick it if you want this campus, not if you want a statewide cadre.
